The Theresa Keelty Shining Star Awards 2022
Following the loss of a well-loved colleague in 2015, the team at ICS Cleaning established the annual Theresa Keelty Shining Star Awards in her memory and have been recognising members of the team for excellence in their work ever since.
Theresa Keelty worked for ICS Cleaning for many years and worked her way up the career ladder to become an Area Manager, working predominantly from the head office in Neptune House, Hull.
Christine Turner, Managing Director of ICS Cleaning, said: “Theresa was a very well-loved and central character of our team, and her loss was devastating to us all. We are proud to keep her memory alive within the business and this year we are delighted to present her award to members of our cleaning staff from our three regional hubs who have showed excellence in their roles.”
The 2022 winners are Beverly Harrison for West Yorkshire, Martin Foster for North Humberside and Kelly Cranidge for South Humberside.
Beverley joined the team 3-years ago as a cleaning operative at Broadgate Grade A Office Lettings located in Leeds city centre just prior to the Covid pandemic starting. Her line-manager Tracey Gibson-Wood Area Manager commented: “Beverly has been a dream of an employee, has never had any absences and is always bright and cheerful. She started working a two-hour shift on one site in Leeds and more recently has taken on more hours for another of our Leeds contracts. Everywhere Beverly goes we have great feedback on her standards and attitude, a great all-rounder who I wish we could clone!”
Martin has worked for ICS for 15+ years and works in and around Hull city centre for the HULL BID. Over the years he has removed hundreds of graffiti tags, cleaned up doorways and jet washed pavements, all carried out before the shops and businesses open for the day.
Tracey Crow ICS Operations Director said: “Martin really is the unseen hero of the city centre; without Martin the city centre would be a much dirtier place to visit, work and shop. Well done Martin.”
Kelly Cranidge joined the team in 2019 and always goes above and beyond to ensure the service provided is impeccable. April Mulvana, Area Manager for South Humberside, commented: “Kelly has faced the recent challenges of Covid-19 with proactive problem-solving skills and a smile. She is forever positive and helpful towards her staff and our clients. Nothing is ever too much for her and she is very deserving of this award.”
Congratulations to all.
